The Prep Wizard Retention Aid Primer
So, what is so special about it, what it does and how to use it?
This product is a must have for oily lashes, clients whos retention is just not there and you cant put your finger on the cause.
It works in 2 ways - quite high alcohol content assures an effective degreasing action and amines gently prep hair cuticle for a better adhesion by increasing Ph of lash surface. This is quite important when it comes to oily clients, as our natural skin sebum Ph is slightly acidic, which interferes with cyanoacrilate curing properties.
This is a primer, it is to be used after cleansing and not instead (we always recommend a lash bath and/or pre treatment solution as a standart cleansing routine for every client) by applying a small amount on the natural lashes at the extension contact area (so - close to the roots). It is important to not apply it on the skin.
Does it need to be used on EVERY client?
No. Not all natural lashes require priming. As a rule of thumb we want to prime oily and problematic lashes only. It can be clients where there is no apparent reason for bad retention, also clients with glossy, almost shiny lashes even if their skin is not oily and when it feels that extension is just sliding around and not bonding.
